The game had a very big importance for second-ranked Santa Tecla as it allowed them to take a leadership position. Santa Tecla smashed 7th ranked Aguila at home 96-75. Forward Josue Avila (195-98) scored 18 points and 5 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and Cuban Yuniskel Molina (177-93) chipped in 16 points and 5 rebounds during the contest. American-Colombian forward Freddy Asprilla (208-88, college: Canisius) responded with a double-double by scoring 15 points, 15 rebounds and 5 assists. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Santa Tecla (13-2) have an impressive six-game winning streak. As mentioned above they are alone now at the top position. Aguila at the other side keeps the seventh place with ten games lost. They share the position with Halcones. Aguila will play next round against 11 Lobos trying to get back on the winning streak. Santa Tecla will try to continue on its current victory against seventh ranked Halcones in Sonzacate.
Fourth ranked Quezaltepeque (11-5) crushed at home 9th ranked 11 Lobos (3-12) by 22 points 101-79, which is the biggest margin this round. Americans were the main players on the court. Anthony Brown (193-89, college: Imperial Valley JC) notched 29 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists to lead the effort and Eddie Ishman supported him with 28 points and 9 rebounds. Quezaltepeque's coach William Avalos felt very confident that he used 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Even a double-double of 27 points and 20 rebounds by forward Patrick Wrencher (201-95, college: St.Francis, PA) did not help to save the game for 11 Lobos. Quezaltepeque moved-up to third place, which they share with Brujos Izalco. 11 Lobos at the other side keep the ninth position with 12 games lost. They share it with Cojute. Quezaltepeque will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. 11 Lobos will play on the road against Aguila (#8) in San Miguel and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

In the last two games of round 14 Halcones won against Santa Ana on the opponent's court 81-76. Isidro Metapan managed to outperform San Salvador in a home game 86-77.
